追思孝道慶讚中元 （二）Hungry Ghosts’ Festival – In Remembrance of Filial Piety (2)

我們過往的親人、祖先，凡是沒升天、投胎、在陰間等待輪迴的，皆可以在過節或生辰祭日或農曆七月時，到陽間乞食看子孫，接受人間的供養。今天是農曆七月的最後一天，也是眾幽冥接受供養的最後一天。如果在月頭已有供養「好兄弟」，記得在今天一定也要供。供品要和之前一樣，可以多，但绝對不可以少。

之前提到，在晨昏的時候，如下午四點半後，請不要帶小孩子到以下的場所：

一、遊樂場所
二、海邊
三、戲院
四、樹林
五、公園

Our deceased relatives, ancestors, who have yet to ascend to the Heavens, but still in the Netherworld awaiting reincarnation, are allowed to visit their living descendants during festive seasons, their birth or death anniversaries, or the Seventh Lunar Month, and accept offerings from the mortal world.

Today marks the last day of the Seventh Lunar Month, and it is also the last day where the spirits from the Netherworld can accept offerings. If you have made offerings to the “good brothers” on the beginning of this Seventh Lunar Month, please remember to also do so today. The offerings must be similar, if not more. It should not be less than the amount you offered on the first day of the Seventh Lunar Month.

As per mentioned before, when dusk falls (after 4.30pm), please do not bring your young children to the following places:

1. Playgrounds
2. Beaches
3. Cinemas
4. Forested areas
5. Gardens and parks
