走了兩個多小時,看了20-30多種食材及年貨,不停地
玳瑚師父要奉勸所有的人,要多多留意妳你們的起居飲食。
希望來年還有機會可以帶更多人來,發揚這知識,讓更多人
Last Tuesday, I brought my students to the supermarket to select the various food ingredients, specially tailored for each of them, for their Fortune Feast on the eve of Chinese New Year. Instead of eating out, I encouraged them to cook at home.
We walked for almost 2 hours and looked through 20 – 30 different food items and CNY products and I gave a non-stop introduction on each item and how the students can use them to complement their lives. I did not feel any tiredness during this session from the start till the end. My heart was filled with the joy of Dharma.
A positive testament from a student, “This is the first time I got so much information in a supermarket, regarding which brands of food items are beneficial for me and my family, based on our individual birth charts. This is also the first time I learnt about the Fortune Feast menu to prepare, to get the New Year off to a good start! I used to think that it would suffice as long as we had an expensive and sumptuous dinner. But I have now realized that it is more important to eat the correct type of food.”
I wish to advise everyone to take a closer look at your daily lifestyle routines. We Chinese have many traditions but the most significant of them all is the family reunion dinner on the eve of Chinese New Year. Please do not be stingy for this important dinner, and avoid having porridge or instant noodles. It must be a sumptuous dinner, as this will set the stage for your prosperity the rest of the year. If you choose to eat miserly for this dinner, the prosperity that follows will be equally miserable.
It is my hope that I will be able to bring more people along for such an “excursion”, come next year, and let more people appreciate the significance of the five elements in their diet and the positive effects on their health, wealth, family harmony and career development. However, a word of advice to my students, I must add that good morals and virtues still form the basis of evading misfortunes in your lives.
